- SAKET, a Public Charitable Trust has been established with the aim and objective to empower the under-privileged & neglected people of the society through education. One of the major activities which SAKET undertook was the opening of SAKET Public School. The School was inaugurated by Hon'ble Justice Chittatosh Mukherjee, Former Chief Justice, Calcutta & Bombay High Court on 12th April, 2009 in the presence of several dignitaries including (1) Mr. Nizam Shamim, I.P.S (Retd.), Chairman, Wakf Board, West Bengal, (2) His Grace Bishop Samuel Raju, Bishop of Calcutta (Retd.) (3) Mrs. Chandana Guha Sircar, Principal, School of Languages, Rama Krishna Mission Institute of Culture, Goal Park, Kolkata, (4) Mr. Jagmohan Singh Gill, General Secretary, Central Gurudwara Committee, West Bengal and (5) Mr. Nasir Ahmed, Chairman, SAKET.
